Founded in 2022, Itthiya Foundation is a local feminist organization led by women and dedicated to women, girls, and other marginalized individuals. Rooted in local realities and lived experiences, Itthiya Foundation works to challenge unequal power structures and strengthen feminist movements from the ground up.
Itthiya Foundation was created to respond to the gap between international donors/funding agencies and local organizations. We believe deeply in the power and potential of local organizations when they come together. Itthiya Foundation emerged to connect the dots in addressing power inequalities, resist patriarchal and hierarchal systems, and build networks that advance feminist organizing and collective action.
