What We Do
Itthiya Foundation supports partners through organizational development and capacity building, while working to eradicate gender-based violence, promote rights, empower marginalized individuals, and strengthen safety and wellbeing. Our works aim to create environment where women, girls, and marginalized groups can thrive, lead, and share their own futures.
How We Do
At Itthiya Foundation, our work is guided by feminist principles that place power, leadership, and decision-making in the hands of those closest to the issues. We champion survivor-led, girl-centered, locally led, and partnership-based approaches, ensuring communities drive their own solutions while we stand alongside them as trusted allies.
Grant-making is at the heart of our work. We mobilize resources and redistribute them to local feminist organizations, women’s and gender rights groups, and community-based organizations, strengthening local leadership, advancing collective action, and building resilient feminist movements.
Beyond grant-making, we generate evidence through research and assessments, influence policy and public discourse through advocacy, strengthen collaboration through strategic networks, and amplify underrepresented voices through media engagement. We also invest in fundraising and resource mobilization to expand sustainable support for local partners and the movements they lead.

Through our work, survivors rebuild their lives, women and girls are influencing the decisions that affecting them with greater confidence, leadership, and agency, communities showed increased openness to discussing gender equality and challenging discriminatory norms, women’s and gender rights organizations work in collaboration, mutual learning, and collective advocacy.
